In web design you can design two types of web pages or websites. It can be either programmed as static web page or dynamic web page. In static web pages you have to update manually your website after particular period of time while in dynamic web pages the modification in website is automatic depending upon some criteria like variable user input and pre defined rules.

1.    It is necessary to divide equally the heavy and the light components in a single page. The balancing of components is not only done in first home page but in all pages. The pages can be set on grid system which is hidden. It helps in balancing of web pages as desired. Balancing of the web pages can be symmetrical and asymmetrical. In symmetrical balancing you organize all components in an even fashion. But always take care while designing a web page in a symmetrical fashion that it should not look boring or flat. Asymmetrical balancing is more challenging in building web pages. It requires skills to place different colors, textures and various sizes images in such a way that it makes the look of web pages very attractive.

2.    The contrast of colors plays an important role to give a pleasing effect to the appearance of your web pages in the websites. In addition of contrasting colors, contrasting sizes, shapes and textures are also important. Innovative ways of providing textual contrast gives an attractive web page design. However always take care that color should not be loud to scare or blast your reader.

3.    Third essential principal is to mainly emphasize on the right place instead of emphasizing equally to the entire pages. If you give attention equally on all parts of the entire page then it will be unappealing and will look too busy.

4.    The tuning and consistencies in all web pages play important role to give attractive look of your website. All components can be repeated in order to give rhythm in your design.

5.    Web design unity is also considered as nearness of site which keeps like elements together and dissimilar element separately and pulls all together in one entirety. It gives web design a unity. However unity is actually achieved when you properly place each component in your layout.
