| One Thing Your Competition Doesn't Want You To Know About Article Marketing |
|
You work hard to create a website and get it on the web. You can't wait for the traffic to come pouring in and your dreams of making a fortune online to come true. But unfortunately, that didn't happen did it, that's why you are here now, you want to get people to your site and start making some money. By the time you finish reading this article you will have gained enough knowledge to start getting that site ranked in the search engines and start getting that traffic coming in, and hopefully making some money. How to get more targeted web site traffic with article marketing I wish I could say this was a quick process and you could get hundreds of people to your site in a few hours, but I can't. This process takes time and work to get the most out of it,but those who stick with it, never regret it. You need to have a basic understanding of SEO (Search engine optimization) to get the most out of this article. If you don't, I suggest you search for "Stomping the Search engines" on Google and you will learn everything you need to know about SEO. In almost any SEO endeavor, the first thing you want to do is figure out what keywords you want to target and rank for in the SERP's. For those just starting out it is a very good idea to target low competition "long tail" keywords because they are much easier to rank for. I like to stick with keywords with less than 50,000 "phrase match" competing pages. After you figure out what long tail keyword you want to target you then need to create the page you want to have ranked in the SERP's. When creating this page be sure to include your target keywords in the title and H1 tags of the page as well as have them throughout your body text. You do not however want to keyword stuff your pages, keep the keyword density to 2% and 5%. Third, you want to write an article that complements the content you just created on your site, it should be around 300 to 500 words. It can be about anything you want as long as it is related in some way to the page you are trying to get ranked. Fourth, not absolutely required, but highly recommended, you need to rewrite that article twice. This may seem like a lot of work now, but overall it will save you lots of time and effort. I like to go through my article and rewrite each paragraph so that it is unique but still says the same thing. This will allow you to randomly select a set of paragraphs and have the overall article still convey the same idea. Next, you want to create a compelling authors resource box that has a strong call to action for the reader to click through to your site. But here is where the magic happens. You are allowed 2-3 links to whatever pages you want in your resource box. You want the anchor text of those links to be the keyword you are trying to get your site to rank for. It is a good idea to vary the anchor text to include just the keyword, the keyword and supporting words, and it is even a good idea to throw in some junk words as well. This keeps you pages and links from getting filtered out by the search engines and keeps your site from being sandboxed or de-indexed. Your next mission is to get that article out to the web to as many sites that will take it. This means post it to article directories, web 2.0 sites, article exchanges, etc that you can find. You want to have as many different places on the web linking back to your site as you can get, and if they happen to have a good Google page rank all the better. The reason you want to spin your articles is so that the search engines will not discount or disregard your links on other pages because it has found the same exact text and links on other sites, thus allowing you to having 100's or 1000's of unique versions of your article, all over the internet, giving you their full support.
