Tips For Succeeding With Pay Per Click Keywords
by AnthonyM.Flores

A PPC campaign can only be successful with good keyword research. However, the process can be extremely difficult and time-consuming. How is it possible to increase your efficiency and speed? Lots of good tools are out there; you just have to know where to look.

If you're trying to locate the most competitive keywords in your particular marketplaces, start with Wordtracker or AdWord Accelerator, both of which can be found at www.wordtracker.com. This site will help you choose the highest-performing ads, along with information about search volume and bid price estimates. For other aspects of PPC Management, try Adword Analyzer (www.adwordanalyzer.com) or Keyword Analyzer (www.keywordanalyzer.com).

But once you find words from these tools, it is really only a starting point. It wont be a full list of words people use when searching for what youre promoting. Use some of these ideas to help you find hidden gems that will really help your PPC Campaign.

Look for synonyms of the words on your starting list. For other ideas, try the internet or word processing programs. For example, some people say "Kleenex" while others say "tissues", but they are both looking for the same item. It is important to have all these covered, and particularly to note whether one word seems to capture more searches than another. For an excellent thesaurus go to www.LexFN.com.

Brand names (like Kleenex) can be good, but come with their own set of problems. Google has had legal problems by allowing AdWords users to bid on trademarks, and trademarked names. Bidding on magazine names, names of companies, associations, famous people and famous places might be related to your product, so they can be effective. However, do not use the trademarked name in the Ad itself. That can get you in trouble with Google AND the other company.

Dont forget misspellings of words! They are often overlooked when doing keyword research, but they have terrific benefits: They are often less expensive to bid on, and often their click-through rate is higher!

These are just a few ideas to help you in your keyword research. With these tools, you'll be able to manage your PPC both properly AND quickly.
